If you managed to get your hands on a Nintendo Switch 2 and shelled out another $80, you're probably zooming away in Mario Kart World right now. The latest entry in the beloved series boasts a massive open world where you can drive about leisurely or partake in 24-racers tournaments.
Nintendo needs to push the kart out and produce a fully-fledged campaign mode.
Like in previous titles, should you manage to fall off the race course, you can trust everyone's favourite Koopa in the clouds, Lakitu, to help you out. However, it seems Lakito has become a bit overzealous in this latest title, reeling in players who haven't even fallen off the course. There have been multiple reports of the Koopa scooping up player for going off track even a little bit.
While Lakitu usually earns his coins by picking up racers that have fallen off Rainbow Road or any other course, it seems he's trying to earn a few extra bucks by helping out players that don't need help (thanks Kotaku).
