Webbed was a surprise hit and has maintained "overwhelmingly positive" reviews on Steam, and the developer is hoping to once again draw in fans of unconventional protagonists with Isopod.
There have been a number of 2D games with 3D sequels, such as the Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda franchises making iconic leaps from pixels to polygons.
