Elden Ring Nightreign has a bunch of random events that can happen to spice up your runs, whether it be a kidnapping by Augur, or a random Eye of Sauron popping up to spread madness to everyone in your party. Shifting Earth is arguably the event that matters the most though, giving players extremely valuable rewards for those that brave the portion of the map that is altered.
While Shifting Earth events can be extremely lucrative, they also appear to be extremely rare. You'll be plopped into the standard version of Limveld most of the time, and you can go tens of hours without seeing any form of Shifting Earth at all, even after beating Nightlords. It's pretty disappointing too, as these areas are easily some of the most fun and challenging places to traverse.
