We now know which Pokémon will be the focus of Pokémon GO's October Community Day.

It has been announced that Charmander will be the main focus of Pokémon GO's October Community Day. The event will take place on Saturday, October 17th. It will run from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

During October Community Day, Charmander will appear in the wild more frequently, with there being a chance of running into a Shiny one. Evolving a Charmeleon during the event or up two hours after will grant a Charizard that knows the move Dragon Breath. There will be event-exclusive Timed Research and Field Research tasks that will reward players with Charizard Mega Energy. For $1, players will be able to access the October Community Day-exclusive Special Research story, A Tale of Tails. Rewards for completing this story include Charizard Mega Energy.

During October Community Day, players can take snapshots for a surprise. There will be a special one-time purchase October Community Day Box available for 1,280 PokeCoins. The Box contains and Elite Charged TM, three Super Incubators, three Star Pieces, and 30 Ultra Balls. During the event, players will receive 3x Catch Stardust. Incense activated during the event will last for three hours.

It has also been announced that players will be able to receive free Remote Raid Passes during the months of October and November. From Monday, October 5th to Monday, November 30th, gamers can claim a free Remote Raid Pass every Monday. Each Remote Raid Pass will be available for a week. Players must have fewer than three Remote Raid Passes in order to claim their free Passes. For those who do not know, Remote Raid Passes allow players to participate in Raids that can be seen in the RAID section of the Nearby screen or that can be tapped on the map, allowing players to participate in Raids without having to physically be at one.

Pokémon GO is available now on mobile devices.
