Elden Ring Nightreign got off to a pretty rocky start, opening to 'Mixed' reviews on Steam as players criticised everything from the lack of voice chat to the intense difficulty. But, like Shadow of the Erdtree before it, players are finally coming around now that they've gotten to grips with all the changes to the formula.
You know Nightreign is a co-op game, right?
As of writing, with over 71,000 reviews, Nightreign sits at a respectable 'Very Positive', the second-highest rating that you can get on Steam. "Great with friends, surprisingly fun with randoms. If you are a fan of Souls games, try it," suggested IcEDF. "Really good for unemployed people," Sambamuel said with over 110 hours logged. "A tough chew at first, but becomes a satisfying meal when you've finished it," Sniffles wrote.
After playing it for a bit and getting a better understanding, it's a good game.
To climb to the top score, Nightreign would need at least 95 percent of the reviews to be Positive. That might seem like a lot, but it clawed out of the 40-69 percent bracket in less a month. With DLC and future updates still to come, it's not out...
