Devil May Cry 5 is over six years old now, but Capcom still hasn't given any updates about the series' future. While there have been murmurs, with creator Hideki Kamiya saying that he wants to remake the original, the departure of director Hideaki Itsuno from the company has left many fans worried that they won't see a sequel anytime soon.
That hasn't stopped the community from calling on Capcom to make one, though, and they're not alone. Johnny Yong Bosch, known for a host of iconic roles, from the Black Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers to Ichigo Kurosaki in Bleach and, of course, Nero in the Devil May Cry games and Dante himself in the anime, likewise wants the series to return.
"Is that enough to get DMC6 going?" he said in response to an IGN article about the boost in sales spurred on by the new Netflix show. "Just asking for a friend."
DMC5 has now sold over ten million copies.
Some fans took this to mean that Bosch is teasing an announcement or that he knows something we don't, but he put it best: replying with a facepalm emoji.
