Obsidian Entertainment’s recently announced Grounded 2 will have a huge map, as the starting area is reported to be almost the size of the entire previous game. Grounded 2 is highly anticipated by gamers who loved the first title, and it appears that its world will offer plenty for players to explore, as well as some interesting new features.
Grounded 2 was announced during the 2025 Xbox Games Showcase, surprising fans of the series, who did not expect Obsidian to announce yet another game during the show after releasing Avowed a few months ago. Like the original game, Grounded 2 will be released in early access first, and gamers will get to try it on July 29, 2025. As expected, Grounded 2 will be a day-one release on Xbox Game Pass, as well.
