If you’re into retro gaming (like us) or just have a soft spot for NES-era pixel art with heart, you might want to move fast. There’s a new title called Echoes of the Unread that is currently on Kickstarter, and the clock is slowly winding down to its final 48 hours on Kickstarter. From what I understand about the game, it’s shaping up to be one hell of a nostalgic ride.
Developed by solo indie game developer Matt Tuttle and backed by Mega Cat Studios and Clever Cat Games, the campaign hit its funding goal in just 24 hours last month. Now, with the finish line in sight, they’re closing in on two final stretch goals that’ll bring the game to Nintendo Switch and Steam in early 2026.

Oh, I forgot to mention that this game isn’t just inspired by NES-era games, it is actually being made for the NES, cartridge and all. This isn’t just a retro-inspired game; this is retro.
