Microsoft has announced Xbox and AMD have entered a multi-year strategic partnership to power the next-generation of Xbox consoles, including the Xbox Series X successor reportedly planned to launch in 2027. The partnership between Xbox and AMD aims to deliver more gaming experiences across a number of different devices as well, including PC and handheld platforms.

During the showcase, Xbox president Sarah Bond officially unveiled the new ROG Xbox Ally handheld console, which is planned to launch by the end of 2025. Moreover, reports suggest that Xbox is allocating resources toward improving Windows 11 and Xbox-related layers and apps on the operating system. Xbox's shift in plans didn't appear to have an effect on the development of the Xbox Series X successor, leading to the announcement of Xbox and AMD's partnership.
