Rumors and speculation regarding Xbox's plans for its next-generation consoles. While Xbox's own handheld console has reportedly been canceled, fans saw a glimpse into what the future of Xbox could bring during the June 8th Xbox Games Showcase. During the showcase, Xbox president Sarah Bond officially unveiled the new ROG Xbox Ally handheld console, which is planned to launch by the end of 2025. Moreover, reports suggest that Xbox is allocating resources toward improving Windows 11 and Xbox-related layers and apps on the operating system. Xbox's shift in plans didn't appear to have an effect on the development of the Xbox Series X successor, leading to the announcement of Xbox and AMD's partnership.
Xbox's newly revealed handheld console, the ROG Xbox Ally, will be reportedly able to play some PlayStation games natively on the console.
