Beat Games has announced that it will no longer support its hit rhythm game Beat Saber on PlayStation going forward, with multiplayer to be axed early next year on January 21, 2026.

"As we look to the future and plan the next big leap for Beat Saber, we have made the decision to no longer release updates for PS4 and PS5 starting in June 2025," the announcement reads. "Our passion for VR remains unwavering. We are excited about the possibilities that lie ahead and what we can bring to Beat Saber fans who have been on this journey with us over the past 7 years."

Beat Saber regularly tops the PSVR charts, so speculation is running rampant on why Beat Games pulled the plug.

You can still download the game and purchase any songs or music packs that have been released up until now, but future releases on other platforms will not be available to PlayStation users. That means the last-ever track for PSVR is Lady Gaga's Abracadabra.
