On a trip to the Vatican last week, a Pokémon Trading Card Game fan was able to not only meet Pope Leo but also ask him to sign a very fitting Pokémon card. The Pokémon TCG is host to some of the most valuable and rare trading cards in the world, so much so that some sets are almost impossible to find. But after this trip, this fan doesn't have any interest in selling the card and will "cherish it in sleeve and one-touch UV slab."

In a post to Reddit by shilolz, a meme of the Pope and the signed Popplio card was posted. The card's owner is ReptileCake on Reddit, who wrote: "I don't want to grade it, it's just a funny joke that his Holiness indulged in with me, that's worth more than any monetary value can satisfy." IGN reached out to ReptileCake for comments, and the user said the Pope had a great sense of humor and was aware of Pokémon cards, and he even showed it to the nearby guards before signing it.
