The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered is finally getting its second proper patch in the near future, as Bethesda has released update 1.2 onto the Steam Beta. Oblivion Remastered has more than a few key problems - which Bethesda is trying to fix with these patches - one of which is the difficulty balancing, as many fans have voiced complaints about Oblivion's set difficulty levels.
One of the biggest complaints surrounding this is the absurd jump in difficulty between Adept and Expert, with the former being considered too easy, while the latter is considered too difficult for some. Expert drastically reduces the amount of damage you deal, and increases the amount of damage you take, so enemies feel like sponges while you feel like your bones are made of breadsticks.
In an attempt to address this, Oblivion Remastered's upcoming patch (detailed on the game's Steam page) will be adding a new 'Journeyman' difficulty that will "act as a better bridge" between Adept and Expert. On top of that, additional difficulty settings are also being added that will let you fine tune exactly how much damage is flying around.
My god, can we just let games end?
