Retro Gaming Fans Rejoice, This Game Boy Alternative Is Back For Good

Retro gaming can sometimes be a difficult hobby to keep up with. As older hardware starts to die, players need to find working alternatives that will allow them to continue playing their favorite games. Fortunately for anyone looking to replace their old Game Boy Color with a newer model, one of the independently created systems designed to run GBC games will soon be back on the market indefinitely.

Although some classic Game Boy and GBC games have been made available through Nintendo Switch Online, there are some notable gaps - like the original Pokémon games - that players would still need to play either on their original system or with the use of an emulator. Some players also prefer to play retro games on the original systems they were designed for, and third-party consoles can come close to emulating the feel of the original. They can also provide some meaningful upgrades to the original hardware, making Game Boy alternatives preferable even to those with a working original.
