Overwatch's Halloween Terror has begun.
Overwatch's Halloween event, Halloween Terror, returned today. The event will continue until November 3rd. During the event, gamers will be able to play an event-exclusive mode, earn new cosmetics, complete weekly rewards, and more. The event's rewards and challenges will change on a weekly basis, with each week featuring new content to unlock.
During Halloween Terror, gamers will be able to play the event-exclusive mode, Junkenstein's Revenge. In this mode, gamers team up with three other players in order to take on a host of horrors, including Junkenstein and his Zomnic horde, the dreadful Monster, the mysterious Summoner, the bloodthirsty Reaper, and the devious Witch of the Wilds. There will also be the Junkenstein's Endless mode, which has players team up to take on an endless slew of monstrosities, and try to see how long they can last against the ever oncoming waves of enemies.
Throughout Halloween Terror, players will be able to take on a number of challenge missions in Junkenstein's Revenge. The challenge missions for the first week of the event are Vengeful Ghost, which has a deadly ghost chase players, and Frenzied Stampede, which has Zomnics move faster. The challenges for weeks two and three of the event have names, but their descriptions are is currently locked. Week two's challenge missions are entitled Volatile Zomnics, and Three They Were. Week three's challenge missions are called Mystery Swap and Shocking Surprise.
Along with the event exclusive mode, Halloween Terror will host weekly challenges throughout the event. During the event, player can earn icons, sprays, and skins by winning games in Quick Play, Competitive Play, or Arcade. During week one, which takes place October 13th - 20th, 3 wins will earn players the Fantasma Sombra Player Icon, 6 wins will reward players with the Fantasma Sombra Spray, and 9 wins will grant the player the Fantasma Sombra Epic Skin. During week two, October 20th - 27th, 3 wins will reward players with the Stone Brigitte Player Icon, 6 wins will earn players the Stone Brigitte Spray, and 9 wins will let gamers snag the Stone Brigitte Epic Skin. During Halloween Terror's final week, October 27th - November 3rd, 3 wins will reward players with the Ragdoll Echo Player Icon, 6 wins will grant the Ragdoll Echo Spray, and 9 wins will earn players the Ragdoll Echo Epic Skin.
Throughout Halloween Terror, players will be able to get their hands on special Loot Boxes. These Loot Boxes will reward players with new skins, highlight intros, player icons, sprays, and more. Items from past Halloween Terror events will also be found in these limited-time Loot Boxes. Players can see the new skins, emotes, and intros here.
