The next-gen version of Borderlands 3 will release alongside the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S.
2K games announced that the upgraded version of Borderlands 3 will release with the upcoming next-gen consoles. The game will come to the Xbox Series X / S on November 10th. It will come to the PlayStation 5 on November 12th in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea. The game will release on the PlayStation 5 everywhere else on November 19th. Those who purchase a next-gen console and already own the game on a current-gen console will be able to upgrade their version of the game for free.

The next-gen version of Borderlands 3 will be fully optimized for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S. The game will display in 4K resolution at 60 fps on both consoles during single-player and online co-op. The next-gen versions of the game will support three- and four-player split-screen for local multiplayer. Gamers will also be able to choose between vertical or horizontal split-screen for two-player local co-op on the upcoming consoles.
It has been announced that Borderlands 3 news will be shared on October 29th at 9:00 a.m. PST during a special episode of The Borderlands Show. The presentation will be broadcasted on the Borderlands Twitch channel.
Borderlands 3 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The game will come to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S in November.
