Borderlands 3 is Receiving a Second Season Pass

More content is making its way to Borderlands 3.

It has been announced that Borderlands 3 will be receiving a second Season Pass. Season Pass 2 will come with two new DLC add-ons, Designer's Cut and Director's Cut, as well as new looks for the game's four Vault Hunters. Designer's Cut will be released first, and will contain a new Skill Tree for each Vault Hunter, a new standalone mode called Arms race, and more. Season Pass 2 will release on November 10th, and will introduce Designer's Cut. Director's Cut will release sometime in spring of next year. 

Contents of the Designer's Cut will be previewed soon. Starting on October 20th, member of the Borderlands 3 team will host a series of streams that will feature live hands-on gameplay and additional reveals. You can see the programming for these streams below, which will be streamed on the Borderlands Twitch channel:

  • October 20th, 9:00 a.m. PST: Amara and FL4K new Skill Tree reveals
  • October 22nd, 9:00 a.m. PST: Moze and Zane new Skill Tree reveals
  • October 29th, 9:00 a.m. PST: A new episode of the Borderlands Show will debut, and will a look at the new Arms Race mode, as well as developer interviews and more
  • October 30th, 9:00 a.m. PST: The Bordercast will stream the very first live play-through of Arms Race, and will feature special guests

Borderlands 3 will receive a next-gen upgrade on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S the same day that the consoles release. Those who own the game on a current-gen console will be able to upgrade to the next-gen version for free. On the upcoming consoles, the game will display in 4K resolution at 60fps during both single-player and online co-op. The upgraded version of the game will be able to support up to four-player spilt-screen multiplayer, and will allow gamers to choose between vertical or horizontal split-screen for two-player local co-op. 

Borderlands 3 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Google Stadia. The game will come to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S when the consoles release.
