Baldur's Gate 3 players are always looking for ways to get through a boss battle easier - just look at how many of us were cheesing the Cazador fight. Now, fans are sharing an exploit you can use much earlier on in the game, and all it involves is a bit of theft.

As it turns out, Auntie Ethel in Act 1 and Balthazar in Act 2 both get their incredibly irritating abilities from potions, not spells. This means that all players have to do is get the potion out of their inventory, and they'll have to fight you without their frustrating buffs.

Reddit user Flipsktr230 kicked this off by sharing their strategy for fighting Ethel - stealing her Potion of Invisibility. If you do this, she'll be unable to turn herself invisible when she first reveals that she is a hag. For all of her tricks, just a little bit of thievery deprives her of the ability.

As for Balthazar, it's much the same, only with Potion of Speed. This gives him the Hastened condition, which buffs his stats and gives him an extra turn. That is incredibly frustrating to fight against, so you'll want to make sure...
