Red Dead Online is celebrating Halloween in a number of different ways this year.
On the Rockstar Newswire, it was announced that there will be a number of events going on for Halloween in Red Dead Online. Right now players can find the Nightwalker Panther near Bolger Glade. The Nightwalker is able to blend in with the surrounding vegetation in the mist and shadows of dusk in the area. Players will also be able to find the albino Ghost Panther in Bluewater Marsh and the surrounding areas. After players take down these beasts, they can take them to Gus' Trapper Store for a good amount of coin. This will unlock a garment set for purchase based off of the two beasts.
Rockstar also announced that gamers will be able to pick up the Halloween Pass. This Pass is a purchasable limited time upgrade that offers rewards across 20 ranks, and will let players earn exclusive special themed clothing items and full weapon variations. As players progress through the pass, they will earn Photo Studio Backgrounds, a Gothic renovation for their Moonshine Bar, filters for their Advanced Camera, and more. Purchasing the Pass this week will earn gamers a reward for a free weapon component of their choice. Those who encounter Madam Nazar this week will notice that the Halloween Masks are back. The masks can be obtained for a limited time, and buying one will net players 10 Poison Throwing Knives, and a free Ability Card of their choice. All of those who have undertaken a role will receive a reward for 2,000 Club XP and and offer for 50% off a weapon from the Fence.
Red Dead Online will have a special mode for Halloween. Entitled Dead of Night, the mode has four teams fight for survival, against each other and the Dead. Points are scored by killing the Dead and other players. Those who can find and steal a Night Stalker mask will gain supernatural abilities and the competitive edge. Completing a round of Dead of Night during the next week will earn players triple the usual payout and a care package containing 3 Tomahawks, 10 Volatile Fire Bottles, and 25 Incendiary Buckshot Slugs.
There will also be a number of discounts in the stores and shops around the territories. This includes 40% off all Role Items and 30% off all melee weapons.
