The start of a new Major Order in Helldivers 2 has brought a not insignificant update to the game, which has unfortunately introduced a disastrous bug. Helldivers are currently being dispatched to defend certain planets from a fresh Automaton assault, which has seen the debut of a new enemy type, but it has also had unforeseen consequences relating to the One True Flag stratagem.
Following the update pushed on July 15, patch 01.003.200, planting the One True Flag causes every other player's game to crash. Footage of the bizarre bug can be seen on Reddit, where user Sad-Needleworker-590 plants a flag in the street, only to have their teammate freeze in place before disappearing. The bug affects every player in the lobby other than the person who planted it. The One True Flag was added to Helldivers 2 via the Masters of Ceremony Warbond in May 2025, and serves as a melee support weapon stratagem.
