Rockstar Games Social Club Appears to Have Shut Down

Rockstar Games Social Club seems to have been shut down, with visits to the URL redirecting players to the main website for the developer. The Rockstar Games Social Club initially got its start way with Grand Theft Auto 4, and after all these years, it seems that the studio is moving on from it.

The Rockstar Games Social Club has been a social tie-in website that allows users to view a number of stats, player profiles, videos, and more for the majority of Rockstar Games studio releases, with GTA 4's DLC, Max Payne 3, L.A. Noire, GTA 5 and its Online component, Red Dead Redemption 2 and its Online mode, and GTA: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition all having utilized the service. However, it seems that it's now defunct, and only a portion of its features have been carried over.

The recent arrival of a surprise Red Dead Online update fuels fan speculation about Rockstar's potential near-term plans for RDR2.
