Street Fighter VI Sagat Gameplay Trailer Revealed

The King has returned to the battlefield—well, almost. Capcom has officially dropped a brand-new trailer announcing Sagat’s long-awaited return to Street Fighter VI, arriving August 5th. Kicking off Year 3 of the Fighter Pass, the former Shadaloo enforcer is back with a vengeance, and the rage of the Tiger has never looked so fierce.

Since his defeat at the hands of Ryu years ago, Sagat has undergone serious growth, both as a fighter and a character. Now, his refined but brutal style roars back to the spotlight with a gameplay trailer that showcases just how dominant the Muay Thai legend still is. Between Sagat this summer, Tekken’s Fahkumram, and Fatal Fury’s Joe Higashi coming this fall, 2025 is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Muay Thai fans across the FGC.

Sagat’s new stage, Proud Spire, seems like a spiritual callback to his original Street Fighter background. Set against a towering backdrop, surrounded by fans and, of course, a watchful tiger, Capcom clearly wants to remind everyone who the true king of the ring is. The environment feels like a homecoming—fierce, dignified, and majestic.
