Baldur's Gate 3's rest mechanics might take a little getting used to if you haven't played Dungeons & Dragons before, but put simply, you just need to make sure your party gets some sleep and something to eat every now and then. Depending on the difficulty you're playing on, you'll need a different amount of camp supplies (food and drink) to fully heal and replenish resources, so it's best to get into the habit of picking up snacks along the road.
