Nearly 2 Years Later, Baldur's Gate 3 Fans Are Still Debating One Character's Fate

Players of Baldur's Gate 3 have recently been discussing the mysterious fate of a certain character. Considering how similar they are to Astarion, it's surprising that there hasn't been a lot of discussion around this character previously. BG3 fans rarely leave mysteries unsolved, but there seems to be one thing that has left them completely stumped.

Reddit user birdandbear pointed out that the fate of Amanita Szarr is still unknown to players. Otherwise known as Lady Incognita, she was a terribly young vampire spawn that rejected Cazador's "family rites." Several notes and books can be found in Cazador's attic that were written by her. However, players will find absolutely no trace of her outside of her writing - so what exactly happened to Amanita?

Amanita's most likely fate is a bittersweet one. As the Reddit user mentioned, there's nothing but crates, odd pieces of loot, and books in Cazador's attic - there's not even a skeleton to imply that she eventually starved to death. What players can find is a hole in the roof, where sunlight shines through.

It's possible that seeing Amanita in the flesh was cut content from the Upper City.
