Worrying PS6 News Has PlayStation Fans In Uproar

PlayStation fans seem to be quite worried about the future of the console, as a new PlayStation 6 prediction is estimating the console will not be nearly as powerful as many may have previously thought. Discussions about the PS6 have heated up this summer, as Sony previously stated the PS6 will still be focused on "local execution" and less on Cloud services or other online systems. This new forecast, though, is rubbing fans the wrong way.

Originally stated by Digital Foundry’s Alexander Battaglia in a podcast episode, which was clipped and uploaded to DF Clips, Battaglia was asked how much RAM the PS6 could potentially have, and he responded with: "I think they're gonna have a minimum of 24 [gb of ram], and maybe a maximum of around 24…" This is not, however, a confirmation of the PS6's RAM, but a lot of commenters are expressing displeasure at the low amount.

The base PS5 has 16GB of RAM, while the PS5 Pro has 18GB. The base PS4 had 8GB of Ram, so it seems this prediction is based on PlayStation's recent previous increases of 8GB for a new console generation. If the PS6 has just...
