Minecraft has shared a new teaser for crossover content that's on the way to the game. Minecraft players will soon be able to enjoy content based on a children's movie that recently hit theaters.

Minecraft has hosted tons of crossover content over the years. The ability to purchase and download additional content for the game through the Minecraft Marketplace makes it easy and accessible, and it seems that both players and other media projects have appreciated the frequent partnerships.

Minecraft mobs add life to Mojang's sandbox, and players believe this change would make the experience with them even better.

Now, Minecraft has suddenly teased that a new crossover is coming to the game. This time, the crossover appears to be with The Smurfs, or specifically, the movie adaptation of the long-running comic and cartoon, titled simply Smurfs, which released in mid-July 2025. The tease features an image of what looks like a Minecraft-ified Smurf, with a simple caption of "The village is about to look different," alongside a mushroom and blue circle emoji. If there were any doubt, the Smurfs movie was tagged in the tweet as well, cementing that something will be arriving in collaboration with the movie soon....
