Iconic horror franchises have proven time and again that they are ripe for video game adaptations. The sadly short-lived Friday the 13th game was a lot of fun, and games like Alien: Isolation have done a good job recreating the atmosphere of their source material. Now, another well-known horror franchise will be joining these ranks with what looks to be an exciting new entry into the series.
Aside from a Dead by Daylight crossover, this is the first time this famous horror series will be adapted into a video game. That isn't for lack of trying, as there have been several canceled projects in the past. However, it looks as though we will be finally getting the game this fan-favorite franchise deserves.
Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have revealed that they will be making a game based on the popular Hellraiser series. Clive Barker's Hellraiser Revival is the first-ever game based on the film series, which itself was based on Barker's novella, The Hellbound Heart. The game is a story-driven survival horror experience where players square off against the iconic hell priest, colloquially called Pinhead, and a cenobite-worshipping cult.
