There was plenty of anticipation going into this new Pokemon Presents, as the Nintendo Switch 2 is now out, and many wondered if The Pokemon Company would announce something new for it. Sadly, the answer wasn’t just “no,” but that we would only get light updates on everything, and get thrown a bunch of other things that you likely won’t care about. Don’t worry, I’ll cover the good bits in my Pokemon Presents July 2025 Recap! Oh, and I’ll skip all the mobile game stuff, as there wasn’t really anything special there.
First, let’s talk about Pokemon Legends Z-A, which got a nice overview trailer detailing its story mode and the characters you’ll interact with and even battle alongside! We learned that you’ll join “Team MZ,” and work to protect Lumiose City from threats. One of those threats is actually Mega Evolved Pokemon! According to a detective named Emma, wild Pokemon are somehow Mega Evolving without the need of a trainer, and they’re going on a rampage in the city!
