A developer working on Battlefield 6 confirmed that players in the upcoming open beta test will be able to play with class-locked and open weapons systems. As the next game in the beloved Battlefield franchise and the first mainline title since 2021's Battlefield 2042, Battlefield 6 is currently in testing, with a release window expected to be announced soon.
Though it still doesn't have an officially revealed release date, Battlefield 6 has already seen some major announcements from EA. The publisher confirmed that the official Battlefield 6 reveal trailer will debut on July 24, 2025, confirming the game's official title and theme.
