Massive Entertainment's Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set to receive a huge update later this year, and publisher Ubisoft has put it on a steep discount in preparation for the new features. Frontiers of Pandora is a feast for the senses that came out in late 2023, and its gameplay leans closely to that of Far Cry, another Ubisoft franchise.
Just two days ahead of its second birthday, on December 7, 2025, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is getting a third-person mode and new game plus in a free update, per a trailer released by Ubisoft. In anticipation of the update, every version of the game has been heavily discounted at 70% off on Steam, bringing the standard edition price down to $20.99. For PS5 and Xbox, however, only the Deluxe and Gold Editions have received the 70% discount on the PlayStation Store and Xbox website respectively.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora received plenty of post-launch support, including premium story expansions, but the update coming in December will add two major modes to the game.
