Wuthering Waves fans are worried about the game and its future characters, as some are concerned and sad about certain characters being too dependent on certain setups to excel. These concerns were voiced by fans shortly after the release of the Version 2.5 update for Wuthering Waves, titled "Unfading Melody of Life."

Wuthering Waves Version 2.5 was released on July 24 and added a slew of new content, including Chapter II Act VII of the main story, the new Fabricatorium of the Deep location, and the new playable Resonator Phrolova. The update also brought some requested changes and optimizations, including the ability to set up "Auto-Lock" or "Auto-Discard" plans in the Data Bank, a new Sync Tuning option for Echo Upgrades, and the ability to have up to 10 preset teams. Like previous Wuthering Waves updates, Version 2.5 will also host a number of special limited-time events throughout its duration. However, the update's release has not been entirely positive, as some Wuthering Waves players are worried about how developer Kuro Games may be developing and preparing the game's new playable characters.
