It has been announced that Deathloop will release in May.

In a blog post from publisher Bethesda, it was announced that Deathloop will release on May 21st, 2021. The game is currently up for pre-order for the PlayStation 5 and PC through the Bethesda.net launcher. Steam per-orders will be available soon. Pre-ordering the game will net players a few bonuses: the Royal Protector Machete (PlayStation 5 exclusive), the "Storm Rider" Colt skin, and one Trinket (equippable buff).

Deathloop will come in two editions: the standard edition and the Deluxe Edition. The standard edition just comes with the base game. The Deluxe Edition comes with the following items:

  • The Transtar Trencher Weapon (PlayStation 5 exclusive)
  • The Eat the Rich Tribunal Weapon
  • the .44 Karat Fourpounder Weapon
  • The "Party Crasher" Colt Skin
  • The "Sharp Shooter" Julianna Skin
  • Original Game Soundtrack Selections
  • Two Trinkets (equippable buffs)

In Deathloop, players control Colt, who is stuck on Blackreef, where the party never stops and neither does the killing. Colt is stuck in a timeloop and is forced to live the same day over and over. Colt will have to use extraordinary abilities and deadly weapons to put an end to the cycle and escape from Blackreef. In order to stop the cycle, Colt has to take out eight targets before the day is done and the loop resets. Unfortunately for him, he is being hunted by his rival Julianna, whose sole goal is to keep the loop going by any means necessary. For those who want to be a little villianous, players can choose to play as Julianna and invade another gamer's game. Players will have to learn from each cycle, as they find new paths, new weapons and abilities, and break out of the loop.

Deathloop will be available for PC and PlayStation 5 on May 21st, 2021.
