NIS America has announced the release date for The Legend of Heroes: Trails Beyond the Horizon, the 13th entry in the long-running Trails series of RPGs with interconnected narratives. The new game will be available on PC (Steam, Epic Store, GOG), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 on January 15, 2026.

Developed by Nihon Falcom, The Legend of Heroes is a series of RPGs that started back in 2004 in Japan with the release of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, also known as Sora no Kiseki FC. The game would later span a larger franchise of games that take place within the Zemuria continent, with various arcs letting players explore different countries through the perspective of various main characters.
Trails Beyond the Horizon is the 13th game in the series and the third entry that takes players to events in the Republic of Calvard, following up on Trails through Daybreak and Daybreak II.
