The holidays are coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Nintendo has announced that a free update will release for Animal Crossing: New Horizons on November 19th. The update will include two holidays that will be celebrated in New Horizons. The first is Turkey Day. This event will take place on November 26th. During this event, first-class chef Franklin will host a gathering in the plaza. Players will be able to help Franklin collect ingredients for the dishes that will be on display in the plaza. They can receive a gift from Franklin as a thanks for helping him out.

The second holiday coming to New Horizons in the upcoming update is Toy Day. Throughout most of December, players will find that their island may be decorated to be holiday themed. They will be able to shake decorated trees for a chance to drop an ornament that will allow them to craft holiday furniture recipes. From December 1st to December 25th, gamers will be able to purchase toys from Nook's Cranny and holiday themed-clothing from the Able Sisters. On Toy Day, which will be held on December 24th, Jingle will appear. If players help him deliver presents, they will also receive a gift.

Between December 26th and December 31st, players will be able to obtain items that will help celebrate the New Year. There will be a countdown event starting at 7:00 p.m. on December 31st.

The upcoming New Horizons update will also come with a number of other features. There will be nine new reactions as well as six new hairstyles. Home Storage will receive an upgrade, allowing players to hold up to 2,400 items in their homes. Players will also be able to transfer their island and inhabitants to another Switch console. You can check here for all of the update notes.

Finally, it was announced that another update will launch for New Horizons in late January.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available now for the Nintendo Switch.
