One of Dying Light 2's most controversial inclusions "isn't planned" for Dying Light: The Beast

Techland has confirmed in a recent interview that Dying Light: The Beast "isn't planned" to include Dying Light 2's controversial post-launch DL Points.

Although Dying Light 2 is generally considered to be a solid sequel to the first game that added some great new mechanics (especially when it came to movement), it's fair to say it didn't quite live up to expectations at launch. Things weren't helped by some of the strange additions and changes that were made to the game after it released.

Dying Light: The Beast is a return to form for the open world horror series.

One of the most controversial things that Techland added to Dying Light 2 post-launch was DL Points, which were an in-game currency that could be used to purchase skins and other cosmetics. Considering Dying Light 2 is a mostly single-player game, the inclusion of microtransactions left a really sour taste for a lot of players, and some lingering fears for Dying Light: The Beast.
