Nintendo and Pocketpair are still embroiled in a legal dispute over patents thanks to the latter's Pokemon with guns, Palworld. While Nintendo has won some – with Palworld removing the Palspheres feature for being too close to Poke Balls – it's not all going as the developer would have hoped.

Nintendo is adamant that there's a lot about Palworld that's been ripped off from Pokemon, and knowing its legal team, the lawsuit doesn't look like it's going to be figured out anytime soon. However, it looks like things have come full-circle, as Palworld now seems to have its own ripoff and it's on Nintendo Switch.

As spotted by Nintendo Soup, Palland launched on July 31, 2025, and is "a captivating survival, building, and exploration game where everything starts with a humble base. In a vast and dangerous environment, you decide how to gather resources, expand your shelter, and deal with wild creatures that can be both threats and valuable sources of power," according to its Nintendo eShop description. It's developed by a studio called BoggySoft, which coincidentally also made a game called Thief Life Simulator.
