New information about Borderlands 4's co-op features has been revealed, and it looks like the game might have one of the most accessible and deep co-op experiences of 2025. The series is known for its multiplayer looter-shooter mayhem, and key game changes might make it the strongest entry in the franchise yet, especially regarding its multiplayer offerings.

In a blog post by Xbox Wire, the co-op features for Borderlands 4 have been detailed. The game will feature two-player split-screen co-op, as well as drop-in/drop-out functionality, the ability for duos on the same console or PC to team up online with other split-screen partners, crossplay, and more.

Borderlands 4 will, of course, have the franchise's signature four-player co-op, allowing Vault Hunters to grind for legendary loot together, regardless of platform.
