Resident Evil Requiem was announced at Summer Game Fest with a jaw-dropping reveal trailer that confirmed Grace Ashcroft as the protagonist. However, reliable sources have insisted that Grace is one of two playable protagonists in the game, with the other being fan-favorite Leon S. Kennedy.
Leon made his first appearance in the beloved Resident Evil 2 and then solidified himself as one of the most popular video game characters of all time by starring in the universally-acclaimed Resident Evil 4. Leon was once again playable in Resident Evil 6, but has been largely absent from the franchise in recent years beyond the CG movies and remakes. Leon is rumored to be returning in a playable form in the upcoming Resident Evil Requiem, and it seems that Capcom could potentially be using the game as a way to give his character a proper ending.
