2025's rendition of Gamescom is coming soon, and it would appear one of the big reveals from its Opening Night Live show has already been spoiled: a sequel to Lords of the Fallen. Gamescom is an annual gaming conference held in Cologne, Germany, and its opening livestream has become a third feather in the cap of Geoff Keighley, producer and host of Summer Game Fest and The Game Awards.
Geoff Keighley posted artwork that reads, "Blood will spill," above stylized Roman numerals for two. Marek Tyminski, CEO of Lords of the Fallen publisher CI Games, then shared a screenshot of Keighley's post, apparently spoiling the surprise reveal by simply saying, "Lords of the Fallen II." The 2023 soulslike is a successor to the 2014 game of the same name, and while it received fairly positive reviews, it has also been subject to controversy.
