Controversial Roblox CEO David Baszucki's account for the popular online gaming platform had seemingly been suspended or otherwise deleted for several hours, but it's currently back up and running again. Baszucki has been an instrumental figurehead for Roblox for more than 20 years, and the temporary disappearance of his account raised a lot of eyebrows among the game platform's community.

Baszucki established Roblox alongside co-founder Erik Cassel in 2004, providing a free-to-play gaming and game creation platform that has grown immensely since it was released to the public in 2006. Player counts for games like Grow a Garden have surpassed Fortnite, while Brookhaven RP, Blox Fruits, and Adopt Me have each registered at least 40 billion visits as of July 2025, according to Statista.

Amid Roblox showing rising user growth and engagement, some players had noted that Baszucki's official Roblox profile appeared to have recently disappeared from the platform on August 15, 2025, though it was once again visible the next day. The CEO does not seem to have publicly addressed the reason why players had been unable to find his profile for several hours.
