Games purchased on GOG will soon be able to be streamed through Nvidia's GeForce NOW service.

It has been announced that GOG will soon start cooperating with Nvidia's GeForce NOW cloud gaming service. It was revealed that the first game from GOG.com that will be able to launch through GeForce NOW will be Cyberpunk 2077. The game will be available to stream when it launches.

"Players around the world, who own the game on GOG.com, will be able to play the game via the cloud gaming service, exploring the streets of Night City on nearly any device including low-powered or incompatible Windows and Mac laptops, Chromebooks and more," reads a statement from GOG. "On top of that, GeForce NOW Founders members will experience the game with RTX on, delivering beautiful ray-traced graphics from Night City.

"We hope you're just as excited about the cooperation between GOG and Nvidia as we are. Launching the GOG.com version of Cyberpunk 2077 via GeForce NOW is just the first step - expect more news coming from us soon."

Nvidia also stated that Cyberpunk 2077 will only be available in English when it launches on GeForce NOW. Additional language support will come at a later date.

Last week it was found that Cyberpunk 2077 will require a large 43.5 GB patch when it launches. However, it has been revealed that this patch is not the day one patch that will also be available when the game is released. Not much is known about the day one patch, including its size or what it will contain. It also brings up the question of just how much space Cyberpunk 2077 will take up on hard drives. It has been shown that the game will initially take up 70 GBs of space on PC, and reportedly 80 GBs on console. With these patches, that size can end up being exponentially larger.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be available on December 10th on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Google Stadia.
