Baldur's Gate 3 has 12 classes and 58 subclasses to choose from, offering a wide variety of build options for every aspiring Tav and/or Dark Urge.
Baldur's Gate 3 is designed around having multiple ways to approach the same problem, which means subclasses often perform better or worse in certain situations. Some of them lack raw combat power, but might compensate for this with utility and/or bonuses for stealthy characters.
However, there are subclasses that are just plain better in the majority of circumstances, which also means there are subclasses that are of limited use. In a recent Reddit thread by thebigchungus27, the community discussed which subclasses are objectively the worst.
Unsurprisingly, there wasn't really a unified answer, but players have identified a few subclasses which bring very little to the table. The most popular answer, unfortunately for our beloved Shadowheart, is Trickery Cleric.
By default, Shadowheart is a Trickery Cleric. However, if you want God's Favourite Princess to be more useful, then respeccing her is highly recommended. Trickery Cleric allows the user to become a pseudo-stealth character, but without any of the damaging skills that might make playing a stealthy character useful.
To add insult to injury,...
