PETA Is Trying To Get Nintendo To Change Mario Kart World By Removing Cow's Nose Ring

Mario Kart World's beloved Cow is PETA's latest gaming target, as the organisation is asking Nintendo to remove its nose ring and "let Cow race freely".

Although Mario Kart World landed with a more mixed reception than you'd expect from a big Nintendo game, there are a few things that everyone agrees it absolutely nails. The biggest example of this is the stacked roster, which includes mainstays like Mario, Bowser, and Peach, alongside weird NPCs like Wiggler, Cheep Cheep, and, of course, the Cow from Moo Moo Meadows.

Ever since Mario Kart World was first revealed, Cow has stood out from the rest of the racers and quickly become the internet's favourite little guy. It seems that PETA doesn't share that love for the racer, though, as it has shared an open letter to Nintendo's president that asks for Cow's nose ring to be removed since it's a symbol of "real-world violence and cruelty to animals".
