After the reveal earlier this year, Sega and RGG Studio have settled on a release date for Virtua Fighter 5 REVO. The game will now be called Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage and will be seeing an October 30th release date. This will be for Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Steam’s edition will be a free update. Nintendo Switch 2’s release date is still to be determined. PlayStation 4’s version of the game, Ultimate Showdown, may not be getting any additional updates.
A new single-player mode, titled “World Stage,” will also be available in the new version. In past interviews, Sega wanted to ensure that REVO was getting a substantial update instead of a straight port of Ultimate Showdown. The game promises to mimic professional Virtua Fighter legendary competitors, such as Himajima, Setsuna X, ChinpanJ, and Fuudo, for challenging CPU battles.
