As the Pokemon Legends: Z-A demo shown at the 2025 Pokemon World Championships continued making the rounds on social media, keen-eyed fans revealed information about the Lumiose City map. Fans claimed that getting around the map in Pokemon Legends: Z-A on foot should not take long, as the distances between some of Lumiose's landmarks were calculated.
Unlike the previous Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which spanned across five parts of the Hisui region, Pokemon Legends: Z-A will take place entirely in Lumiose City, the largest hub in Kalos, and will also mark the return of Mega Evolution as the main battle gimmick. Mega Evolution allows certain Pokemon like Dragonite and Absol to gain a temporary power boost and a new form to match. Compared to previous iterations featured in past Pokemon titles, Mega Evolution in Pokemon Legends: Z-A can now be done more than once per battle, thanks to the game's new real-time battle system.
