Absolum Locks in October Release Date and Reveals New Playable Character

We’ve been talking a lot about Dotemu’s Absolum, its first original IP, and now we’re happy to see that there’s finally a release date, and it’s coming sooner than expected; October 9th, 2025. The announcement came during Gamescom’s Opening Night Live with a brand-new trailer showcasing the addition of a new playable fighter.

The spotlight was on Brome, a Mowlaï (a humanoid frog) born with innate magical talent. Brome isn’t your average brawler; he levitates across the battlefield, chaining staff-based melee combos with ranged and AoE spellcasting, and even hoverboard-style gliding. His story is rooted in tragedy, scarred by the enslavement of his people, which fuels a conflict between his spiritual upbringing and the temptation to give in to rage. With his reveal, Brome joins the growing roster of Absolum’s heroes and gives players another distinct playstyle to master.
