With the Midnight expansion for World of Warcraft on the horizon, Blizzard has been slowly sharing more information about what players can look forward to when Midnight releases next year. The second expansion in The Worldsoul Saga trilogy, Midnight will be a direct follow-up to the events in the current expansion, The War Within. The contrasts between light and dark, the Void and the Light, will be at the forefront, along with destruction and creation.
Much of the buzz regarding WoW: Midnight has focused on the addition of player housing to the game, but that is far from the only exciting news being shared. At Gamescom 2025, Blizzard revealed that the expansion would include a new playable allied race, the Haranir, as well as a new spec for the Demon Hunter class. These are in addition to the expected expansion content, including new zones and storyline, and will bring another dose of freshness to this twenty-year-old game.
