Bethesda's 2023 space action-RPG, Starfield, could be gearing up for a Nintendo Switch 2 release in 2026, according to a reliable industry insider. Starfield received mixed reviews when it was released for Xbox Series X/S and PC nearly two years ago, but it looks like that isn't stopping Microsoft from porting the title to other platforms, as rumors of a PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 release continue to swirl.
Rumors of Starfield making its way to PlayStation 5 have been circulating online for most of the year, but talks of a Nintendo Switch 2 port conveniently come just one month after Bethesda teased its future plans for Starfield. While the studio didn't outright state what it had in store for fans, it did say that it was working on "exciting things" for the RPG that would be shared in the coming months. After the disappointing Shattered Space DLC, many are hoping to see Bethesda revisit the drawing board and bring players a second DLC in the future. But with rumors now pointing to the game's release on another platform, it could be that Bethesda is actually working on bringing Starfield to Nintendo's flagship console.
