Along with co-developers Guard Crush Games and Supamonks, Dotemu has announced the release date for Absolum. The game that mixes the classic sidescroller beat'em up with roguelite elements will be available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Switch on October 9.
Fight Against Oppression in a Fantasy World
Absolum tells the story of a small group fighting against the tyranical Sun King Azra, who has used a magical cataclysm as an excuse to ban magic. As one of four fighters, each with their own circumstances and specialties, players will have to fight against many enemies in brawls.
Along with the release date, Dotemu has shared a trailer that shows a bit of Brome in action. This character is a mage that hails from the Mowlaï tribes, a group of humanoid frogs that once held the land of Jaroba as their home.
Unfortunately, over time, Brome saw his people be devastated and become slaves to the new regime. Seeing this makes the character feel agony, fear and despair, as he hoped to see a better future for his kind and would prefer not to succumb to rage. However, he'll join the group and fight to correct this injustice....
