Publisher Dotemu and developer Alt Shift have announced Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes, a new strategy game that they are working on in collaboration with Universal Products & Experiences. The project is currently planned for a PC release in early 2026 and a page on Steam is currently available.
A New Battlestar Galactica Game
Part of the Battlestar Galactica franchise, Scattered Hopes combines strategy, narrative choices and a roguelite structure. According to the developers, it's a brand-new interactive game based on fundamental aspects of the series, making it a tribute that hardcore fans are likely to enjoy.
In the game, players must command a fleet of spaceships that are trying to escape from the Cylons' attacks on the Twelve Colonies. Though the group has survived so far when faced with enemy forces, their only hope is reaching the mighty Battlestar Galactica.
As they move toward this goal, they'll have to deal with many circumstances. Not only will it be necessary to deal with recurring assaults by the Cylons, there will also be internal conflicts to deal with and resources to manage to keep the fleet afloat in space.
The reveal trailer teases a bit of the experience, which demands careful planning...
