Developer Illfonic, the studio behind the Friday the 13th: The Game, has just announced a new game based on the Halloween movie franchise.
In a twist of events, this isn't just a multiplayer game, much like the studio's past titles, but it will also feature a single-player component.
A trailer has been released alongside our first bits of information.
Halloween Game Will Feature Multiplayer And Single-Player
According to the press release, Halloween will be an asymmetric stealth horror game (think Dead by Daylight) featuring both single-player and multiplayer modes. Similar to past asymmetrical horror multiplayer games, players can take on the role of either the killer or a survivor (referred to as Civilians in the game).
If you're playing as a Civilian, you'll need to stick to the shadows to avoid getting massacred by Michael Myers. Your job is to seek out residents of Haddonfield and warn them about the killer, as well as a way to find out to contract the authorities.
Illfonic is said to be recreating the atmosphere of Haddonfield across multiple maps and "authentic" locations.
